Kilifi not feeling 100%

OK. Here is what I found out about Kilifi. First, I Gotta learn to listen to my inner voice. Her hair loss is from her grooming the area obsessively. Her obsession is most likely due to Regie's constant harassment. So Doc sent a feliway home with me. And some calming meds ( Zylkene ). She said the feliway should calm Regie down, so he is not as likely to bug her. Also will calm her somewhat and maybe reduce her need to groom. This is precisely what I thought. Ever since Regie turned about 18 months old, he has been jumping her and she has been getting upset. And that is when the grooming thing started.

Ok Her coughing. She has a MINOR respiratory infection. Probably brought on by allergies that are bad this year. have a med for that. ( Veraflox ) Doc will see her again on Monday.

Glad you and Dr figured out the issues. Hopefully the remedies will work quickly and get everyone in your home back to status quo (y)

The only thing that had me concerned is her coughing. I kinda figured it was a respiratory infection, and I was right, but I wanted to nip it in the bud so that it doesn't get any worse. The hair thing is just her grooming. I should have gotten a Feliwy like I thought might be needed.

If Kilifi is being over-obsessive with her grooming try to spend some dedicated time playing with her, getting her to run on the wheel, and maybe taking her for walks by herself. See if giving her periods of time alone (e.g., locking Regie in the bedroom) will help. Is the feliway a spray or diffuser? Either way, it will be hard to cover the entire house with just one. Fingers crossed that things improve!

It is a diffuser, and I am gonna order a couple more. I had planned on some one on one time with her.

Feel better sweet Kilifi! Smooch says she knows exactly how you feel. She loves Leo so much but sometimes he can be a real pita trying to get her to play when she's had enough.

Trishy she is feeling good now. Napping some more and flirting with her daddy. Her vet visit trauma has subsided. But she feels Regulus should be sequestered away. LOL ( she really does love him. )
