Her hair loss is from her grooming the area obsessively.

This happened last year with Baboo. It started with him obsessively licking his paw and then continued until he licked a 2 inch patch of fur up his leg and his paw was cracked and bleeding. I think it started as result of anxiety when we went on vacation and our cat sitter noticed he was licking his paw frequently. We tried wrapping it but really the only thing that worked was watching him like a hawk and distracting him by playing with him whenever he attacked his paw. After 3 weeks of watching him carefully his paw healed and he just stopped obsessively grooming.

Like patti said, maybe try distracting her? or - crazy idea maybe try to get her to wear one of those thunder shirts to cover the area so she can't get to it?

If it tried to put a shirt on her, it would be turned to confetti. I have a GREAT DEAL of difficulty even getting a walking jacket on her. I think she will calm down if the boy calms down. The fleiway seems to be working.

Yeah I have the same issue with boo. They attempted to put the cone of shame on him and he was not having it. I hope she recovers quickly!

I worry too much too, Cary, but I view it as my job as I am so darn good at it, LOL!

I'd rather err on the paranoid side with my pets... hope that all continues to improve smoothly now :)
