Ok...i will...no worries...they are still babies...i am seeing more wet spots on the litter, so I think it will be fine.

i was thinking the same think Paige. I went and checked it out but the info on the bag discouraged me for now. They finally started using it this week...5 weeks old. My other litters were a little earlier but now that they have the hang of it 3 of the 4 always use it and one is a little lazy. I am using worlds best. I did pick up a few that i saw going on the blanket and then they got the smell in the box.

Most kittens work it out pretty soon...as you say, Paige, it can be worrying with a mommy cat that doesn't like them wandering from the crate but they do instinctually seem to gravitate to litterboxes, plus they see mama doing it too! I've only used Nature's Miracle and other plant based litters in tiny boxes, although they always end up using the large box with wood pellets from watching mama cat. I'd hold off on the Kitten Attract for a little bit yet...

The problem is there are many kittens and Zuri just wants to keep them close to her, so continues pottying them, therefore they don't really need to use the litterboxes yet, although I see little wet spots on the waterproof mats I put down under the boxes, so guess it will be hit and miss for a while.

I find SV slower to mature that way. They will get it but tend to opps a lot at first. Some litters of kittens are worse than others. I am not sure why?

I had one litter that resisted the wood pellets. They would poop all over the room. I finally decided it was the litter texture.

That's why I tend to start them on the Nature's Miracle as it has the clay clumping type texture but is plant-based. But I've almost always found they end up using the wood pellets...but I offer them both as I want them to recognize the clumping type texture too in case the new home they go to doesn't use wood pellets.

It says not to use it for kittens under 8 weeks, but I may have to give it a try because of all the kittens I have...I don't know if I can keep up with them all ;) as long as they don't eat it, all should be ok...

I'd love to be a sneaky spy and watch your chaos! LOL. I had my hands full with only two.

They are now in their own little room, where they were born, so are running and romping and playing a bit...I decided to use World's Best because I have it here...they are definitely using it...I woke up this morning, played with them for a while and then put them in the boxes and they all went...but you know how kittens cry when they are in the box? Zuri gets upset when they start crying, goes to them and starts licking them - sigh...but they still peed in the box ;)

I have yesterdays news, which are pellets, but decided on world's best because of the consistency. Zuri's box is not in that room, so they cannot emulate her...however, they are doing well...

Cinny is the only girl and is already using the box on her own...I don't have to put her there...she just knows to go...I have two litter boxes set up in that room and Cinny knows to use either one...some of the others are using it as well, but Cinny was the first and seems to be the most consistent ;)
