Those are beautiful kitties, for sure! :)

I still think I didn't state it right when tried to describe the face. These kitties, particularly the F1 and F2s, have a fox-like look about them that I just love! Is it wrong to assume that the fox-look comes from the Serval? Some kitties seem to have a much more angular face that makes them look more siamese or oriental, which I'm less fond of, than when they have that little wild fox-like appearance. This isn't to say that if a kitty looked more oriental but had a fabulous personality I would dismiss him!

Hoping this makes more sense, I feel like I'm trying to dig myself out of a hole by trying to discuss something I don't quite understand (yet) :(

This is a really good point. I'm still getting used to the breed, and this will probably change, to be honest I'm looking at personality and not so much looks, I just noticed that the ones I've been more attracted to were the ones that had little chubby faces. I might not even be describing it right.

And that is another good point, I've been back and forth on breeds about a hundred times in the last few months, and given my experience trying to adopt my first ever pedigreed cat, a ragdoll who it turns out doesn't like to be touched, I'm not so sure about anything, honestly.
I'm really sorry you have had to go through that with your rag doll! I can see why you would be so cautious with getting another kitty!

I think I'm just frustrated. And now afraid to ask the wrong question. I see all these pictures of these little balls of fluff, and people are buying them left and right even though they don't even look remotely like cats yet and no clue what their personalities are like, but I can't seem to figure out how to buy one myself, what to look for, how to make sure the kitty I pick is the right one for me (and Dante). :(

You'll know "your baby" when you see him/her :) Go with your heart, but also take care to listen to your gut feelings if something does not seem right. It IS normal to have some pre-kitten jitters; I know I have before my kitten arrived or was picked up. I also believe strongly in "what is meant to be"....and please, don't hestitate to ask questions! There are not right or wrong answers; that is what this forum is for :)

Pam said it perfect! she is correct and that is how I knew Keeba was my baby! And he is all my baby(went with my gut)! you will know! And please DO NOT stop asking question!!!! As Pam said, no right or wrong answers. I know I was so jitter before I got Keeba....I never met him and had no idea what to expect. Evan after the 2yrs I did researching the Savannah. I went with what my breeder said, did, sent and ect. there is not one day I am ever disappointed in Keeba. Hang in there!

You are doing great, hon. It's hard to describe things that you see in a new breed- heck, there are times I'm still stumbling to describe something that I love about our breed! But- you will know the baby when you see the baby meant to be yours. You are at that point where you can't force it. And trust me- when you know, you'll know! It sounds sooo cheesy, but you will!
