I might argue that one will find no significant difference in mom raised and bottle raised babies as far as personalities go, but I have to say this last baby I bottle raised (mom's milk never came in) is sticky sweet and loving - still purrs as soon as I look at her at eight months old and loves to be held and loved on. However, both parents are incredibly friendly as well so I can't necessarily attribute her socialization to being bottle raised. At about five months of age she finally figured out the art of suckling so she does like to suck on me at times. Is this a behavioral problem? I suppose some may say so, but I have had many, many mom raised babies who do the same, so definitely not a behavior limited to bottle raised babies.

I'm not claiming to know everything and I am learning. My vet is not the only expert and I've never said he was or is. I respect him for his dedication to his field and all that he graciously donates of himself. Just as I respect everyone here for all the knowledge that is shared. ALL that I have learned I am grateful for. In regard to this worn out subject, I do believe there are so many variations and variables to know and understand it all. I will agree to disagree.

Very true - no one knows everything and we can all learn from one another...this is one of those passionate subjects - we should be able to move on from this now...I would like to have no more postings on this topic and am going to lock the thread.
