Amazing enough with some care, it lasts about a month. Watering every other day and because mine is in the living room I needed to move it outside every other day.

I used which comes in 3 sizes the black plastic tubs used for mixing cement. Add dirt or potting soil 3 inches add water until the soil looks pretty soupy wet. As the grass will be super dry. Here under $5 for grass and black plastic mixing tub $15, bag soil $4. Cut grass to size and kitty is in heaven!
