They have specific mealtimes and both eat well. Both weighed the same up until last month but with very different builds. In the past 2 months Smooch has increased the amount of food she eats and now outweighs Leo by almost 2 pounds.
I agree, Leo may be struggling to find his place in the household hierarchy. Do you think he will end up larger than her?

And out of curiosity, what does Smooch weigh? And did her appetite improve b/c you switched food?

Smooch is 13lbs, Leo is 10.6. Smooch is also taller and longer than Leo by inches.

I have been trying different foods with them to get a rotation going so that I have alternatives if they decide to become picky. Neither of them loved the Innova they came home with so I wound up picking up some royal canin kitten sliced which they both LOVE passionately but it has some questionable ingredients. So I continue to try and find a food they love that's really good for them.

With Smooch, just one day she started wanting seconds of the same food she had been eating.

Marilyn the cat coach is not a fan of any of the foods that Holly sent us home with. I had actually stopped feeding the Innova wet food right away, as it contains carrageenan, which is bad. But I can't seem to wean Theo off of the Royal Canine kitten kibble....

Marilyn is a big advocate of regular, timed feedings of small amounts vs. a larger AM and PM meal. This also facilitates behavioral training. She also recommended this brand, which both my cats seem to like: http://www.amazon.com/Tiki-Cat-Gourmet-Whole-Food/dp/B0048Z755Q

What a beautiful boy!!

Smooch loves the Tiki gourmet carnivore line. Leo will pick at it sometimes. That Luau variety pack is on sale at Chewy's.com for 9.99. I check between amazon and chewys for the best price.

It seems Smooch will eat just about anything while Leo is quite picky. I also tried Stella & Chewy's. Smooch loves it, Leo picks at it. Next adventure will be the prepackaged frozen raw.

I feed them 3 times a day with wet food, healthy snacks in between, and kibble only for overnight or if I am out for the day. The like both Evo and Orijen kibble. I use the kibble in puzzle toys as well.

It has been 3 weeks and Leo has not even attempted to bite me! Hopefully it was just a phase he was going through.

He is still an extreme toy hog and as soon as he catches a toy he growls and hisses at poor Smooch. She's only gone back at him a few times when he tries to take a toy away from her but mostly when he starts she hides under something to avoid him. I have tried closing him in a room to give Smooch a turn but she becomes very concerned about him and loses interest quickly. I have tried wielding two toys at the same time but he wants whichever toy she is going for.

I'm glad to hear that the biting has stopped!
Poor Smooch, it sounds like she never gets a fair turn with a toy. I suppose she would get just as upset if you crated him but kept him in sight while you played with her?
