Thanks Patti and Paige, My uncle was an amazing person.

The babies are home and completely traumatized. It would seem that my little girl went savage when she was put in a cage and doc says she wanted to kill anything that went near her including her little brother, other animals in the room, techs. She screamed all the way home and he cried. I have to keep them separated mostly because they will play too hard and I fear her opening her wound. They are both love starved and devastated I think being apart from each other. Little girl has licked about all of the skin off my face, my nose is chapped. She lets me pick her up now since she then has full access to my poor face. Little boy just wants to snuggle and tell me all about his terrible day.

I have been negotiating with my girls on names and we finally all agreed on Leonardo for the little boy. Long story short my husbands name is Leonard, his fathers name was Leonard, and my fathers name is Leonard. When I was in labor in the hospital 23 years ago we did not know the sex of the baby and disagreed on names. He kept telling me if it's a boy we should name it after your father, lol. I finally said fine and if it's a girl we name it my choice. I had a girl. :) Leonardo adores my husband and thinks he is another cat because he has "furry" arms and legs and he loves to groom him :)

The girl kitten is still undecided. When she gets in her must love you now mood, she is as gentle as a mac truck doing 90 on the freeway. If I do not lean over a surface so that she can reach my face she jumps on my chest and places her paws on either side of my face with the claws slightly extended and proceeds to try and stuff her head up my nose over and over and over again. She opens her lip slightly and drools all over my face then it's back to my nose, slamming her head into me over and over, chirping and purring the entire time. I call this the smooch attack and have even yelled OH NO SMOOCH and run away which is futile because she chases me down, lol. So now when I say the word smooch she comes running but the girls aren't sure about Smooch as a name.

Thanks Witchy, and yes Kristin I thought it was cute but especially after she terrorized everyone at the vets office my girls want to name her something like Spike or Killer, lol. But I think it was all the animals there that set her off, maybe being in a cage, hopefully, because any new person that comes to my house she crawls all over them. She loves their crates and goes right in soon as I open them because it means a trip to the screen porch, but then again the door doesn't stay closed.

How they act at the vet is not a judgement on their character. Zeddie despises the vet and acts out. I don't particularly like the vet either and nasty and scary things happen.

Laundry day at my house:
Wait until Atticus is asleep, creep into my closet for dirty clothes, sigh in despair as his head pops up, sprint down the hall to the washer as he tries to tackle me. To get the clothes from the washer into the dryer, 1/2 inch away, I have to wait until his attention is elsewhere and barricade myself in the laundry room. Folding clothes is an act of war.

Thanks Kristin! My two vets are so wonderful and my daughters friend is an assistant there but hadn't met the kittens yet. It was the first time since they came home that they were separated from me and from each other and then surgery. I am going to bring them in next week for a play date with the assistants, they offered me a room to hang out in and let them get familiar with everyone. Of course none of that is going to get them past the indignity of the thermometer or the shots. :)
