Thank you all, and yes Trish I agree. My sister just got a smooth collie puppy. Collies can't have certain meds so when she brought him to her vet today she brought a list of the meds and discussed it with the vet. The vet sent her home with a combination flea/something med to use on him. She got home and looked at it and the main ingredient was on the list of do not give to collies. She's pretty upset.

The puppy kind of looks like Richard Gere btw. Not sure if it's the eyebrows or the nose.

It's sad when vets think they know everything but don't :/

On a side note, there is a quick cheek swab genetic test that can be done to see if a specific animal possesses the gene that causes the problems with the mess. And no, I don't have any links offhand.

That is one adorable pup! And I totally see Richard Gere there haha!

Smooch is 7 months old today. I can't believe how quickly time is flying by. The first two are the day she came home, the ones on the bed she was trying very hard to entice Leo to play.

Thanks Witchy! Here's Leo love-bug, lap cat, daily face slobberer. He is still Dennis the Menace, getting into everything and if I try to stop him he tries to nip me! I won't say bite but he lets me know he is annoyed at having his fun interrupted. I make the Tssst sound and walk away from him and he follows me meowing pitifully and reaching his paws up to be picked up. Quite a character.

Both of them are great looking kitties. Leo looks like a real charmer and Smooch is quite the sexy young lady with her long sexy legs, and her come hither eyes. Leo has this "I am boss" look to him. ;)

Atticus slaps me when I scold him. His feelings are easily hurt and he also thinks he should be able to do what he wants when he wants. The look on his when he slaps me makes me laugh. It says "take that SLAP and that SLAP and THAT SLAP. :LOL:
