Thanks Hina and Patti :)

Rafiki, I think it is having two kittens that is helping with their progress with the claw thing. I am doing nothing more than not being able to control yelping when they slice me in their exuberance playing. I am running out of bandaids and forced to use the old mickey mouse and star wars band aids from the bottom of the first aid box. They still nick me if I am in the path of their charging but when they "attack" my hands and feet they keep their claws in and love nibbles don't break the skin anymore.

So last night we showed them cat fishing on the ipad. Demonic possession is the only term I can think of to describe it. My girls both video taped it but we were all laughing so hard and snorting and making ridiculous noises so I won't subject anyone to that lol. I am sure that by the time they were done they ordered 50 cases of cat food, made several out of country phone calls, and finished reading my book for me :)

Ahhhhh, don't you dare tantalize us with tales of terrific kitten play and not show it. You can easily add music to your video via youtube so we'll hear melodious tunes rather than snorts if that's what you prefer.

Curious about nail trimming. In all other breeds it seems very common but I rarely come across anyone that trims their Savannah's nails? And all the kitten photos on breeder's websites - long claws. Is there a reason I'm not aware of? We always started it early with kittens and continued through out their lives. What don't I know?

Personal preference. I have 4 cats who like to box each others ears and serval slap each others' faces. I routinely trim nails to keep long sharp tips from contacting eyes. Not that short ones won't cause an injury, and maybe I'm deluding myself, but I feel better knowing those needle-like tips are kept at bay.
