Quick update: The crate seems to be working well. She still prefers 4 small meals to 2 large ones but at least now that she is fed in the crate, she doesn't constantly bolt out of the kitchen at the least sound or motion. Now she will eat about half her meal and then come out to see what, if anything, Jammu has left behind. I fluff the remaining food, apply a bit of kitty crack (she is now OK with all 3 varieties - yeah!) and she returns to consume the rest.
