Unfortunately, mine are not afraid of vacuum. It would be convenient if they did. With my other cats, it was a useful tool for getting them to vacate a room. These two are totally un-phased by the vacuum and I have not found anything yet that works. LOL

With Stark it seems its two steps forward, one step back, so we are getting there but its a slow process. Saturday will be two weeks. Should i continue with the safe room, or let him out here and there. My house is open concept so only thing I can actually close is bedroom doors and bathroom doors, I cant block one level from another another, stairs etc. He got out yesterday and he hid under the dining cabinet, but I could see him. I got him to play a little but mostly he stayed there. I did get him back into his room last night but hes trying to escape once again. Since hes not really acclimated (since he hides if he gets out and doesnt come willingly out) do I continue to leave him in there? Also hes been really really quiet, not much meowing, so now hes starting meow here and there, is that him getting comfy or is mad because hes in there. HELP! lol

I'd continue quarantine past the two weeks in that case. Three weeks or a month is not outrageous as quarantine, there are breeders that actually require a month not two weeks quarantine... a little more time in there might bring much faster results than attempting to interact with him in a larger open plan space...
