Could be the picture too. In the picture her spots look brown, but they sure look black to me right now.
Her eyes look to me to be amber or a lighter copper. I just wasn't sure what acceptable color names were for registration purposes.

Hmm, not sure what you are getting at about the spots. Brown (black) tabby refers to the ground color. So any background color from pale yellow to dark brown-gray is considered a brown (black). Tabby refers to a pattern in the coat - you can have spotted tabbies, mackerel tabbies, classic tabbies, marble tabbies, ticked tabbies, tipped tabbies, and lynx tabbies. The spotting color can be anywhere from a pale brown to black, with the cool colored cats (brown-gray) more prone to having black spots and the warmer colors (ligher butter or gold colored) tending toward brown spots. Likewise a black silver tabby can have pale gray to black markings.

Acceptable eye colors include:
A=Aqua
B=Blue
C=Copper/Orange
H=Hazel/Grey
O=Odd
G=Green
P=Pink (White Albino)
Y=Yellow/Gold/Amber
U=Unspecified

Can't wait for her to get the last two sutures out Wednesday and be able to lose the cone!
