My f3 male Savannah, 9 months, is sick with upset stomach

Thank you so much to you all. Jasper is in surgery right now. I last saw him yesterday at 2:30 pm when I took him to the vet. The doctor called me this morning to let me know that Jasper had rested but looks depressed for a 9 months old kitten, ( I didn't take that well), he is hoping to get the obstruction from his intestines but sometimes there is nothing there so they'll get some samples to do biopsy, didn't take that well ether. I hope for the best and for this nightmare be over soon. I have a bad feeling about this and don't want to keep it to myself but I think is just because I'm so scared. I have a busy day and the only thing in my mind is Him!. I'll appreciate your prayers. Thank you for understanding!

I hope that all goes well with the surgery. It's understandable that Jasper is not perky given what has gone on in the past week, kittens tend to go downhill fast and they also bounce back fast too!

Yes, if they do not find anything that would be an obstruction then if they find an area of inflammation a biopsy is a sensible thing. It should be sent to a good pathologist who should be able to determine if it is something like IBD or lymphoma (and we shall all pray it is not that). I do caution you though, my vet said that he went to a lecture by a radiologist that was saying that it is very easy to mistake tissue inflammation for lymphoma so be sure that a specialist is reviewing this, and that they do not jump to any conclusions.

Yes!, the doctor called me to ask me if I have a daughter?!, because he found same kind of fabric and sintetic hair in his intestine. This man was so happy to had found the issue and I felt so relieved but I didn't want to say anything until I have my baby well and at home . My three kids, (6 years old twins boy&girl and my 5 years old girl), asked me to see Jasper, with all this going on I didn't think about how they felt all this time so we went to visit him yesterday. He will be in the hospital for 2 more days. Once again thank you so much for your support.

I'm very glad that Jasper made it through surgery safely and they were able to find the blockage without too much trouble. After a few days of recovery he should be good as new!!

Although it is scary, as this could well have killed him, it is a relief that they found the cause of the issue and it has been removed and he can recover now. It can be so hard to have small children and cats if the cats decide that the toys are tasty. I have an F1 here that has been terrible about my toddler's stuffed toys and bottle nipples (fortunately she wasn't one for pacifiers) and I know the doll hair issue is next. I'm continually monitoring and removing toys and we try to keep my daughter's room closed and the vulnerable toys in there. It's a constant challenge...

Yes, it is a constant challenge. You have an f1, how beautiful!. We and my kids went to visit Jasper today and the doctor showed to the kids what he founded inside Jasper, that's why they need to keep their room impeccable!, (that was a big help), as soon as we got home the three of them went upstairs and started cleaning the girls room, (the boy room is very neat). The doctor will call me as soon as Jasper start eating. Very grateful to God that Jasper is going to be fine. Thank you!

Yes, she's a beautiful cat but a lot of work. She's an obstruction waiting to happen, I do think that because she is so large things have tended to move through her that would have been a problem in a smaller cat....so there's some advantage to that. But one day I'm scared she will run out of luck.

I hope Jasper starts eating soon, he looks miserable in the hospital of course, I'm sure he feels very sorry for himself :-(

I also hope that your kids don't feel too terribly guilty, it's hard for kids to be that tidy...and I am sure they would never have wanted this to happen. Definitely seeing what made Jasper so sick should be a good incentive to tidy up after themselves. Good luck!
