It's not uncommon for cats to hiss at a buddy after he/she has come back from the vet. It's not just the chemo drugs but just the vet smells that bother them. Fortunately, it usually it wears off in a few days and they're back to being best buddies.

Yes, have to say I agree with you there Patti, as you know little Lola has had lots of vet appointments lately and the boys are always a bit hissy with her when she comes home. Doesn't last long though.

Oh that must seem so unfair for Leah to react that way. It might just be the smell of the vet hospital...you can try spraying something like your perfume on a cloth then wiping both cats over with that. this way they both smell the same and that can help...

Thank you for your advice, I am pleased it's not just Leah who does that then! It took a few days but finally this afternoon Leah dropped a toy in front of Loki and licked his head. It warmed my heart, so sweet.

Hello I wanted to give everyone a little Loki update! He has had four rounds of chemo so far and his oncologist seems really happy with him (although she doesn't give too too much away!) she did say the lump on his tummy has disappeared and can no longer be felt. Loki has been brilliant, no sickness and the last few days he has had so much energy, it's lovely to see! I have faith he will get better. I know from reading online his chances aren't good, but I believe he will beat this. I also want to thank you all for your well wishes and prayers. It really kept me going. Anyway I will add some photos of him. We went for a really long walk today and after 45 minutes he still wasn't ready to come in!

Awh that's really fantastic news, you have to have faith, he's looking very good, so pleased to hear he's responding to treatment, long may it continue. Lots of love from his savannah cousins in Scotland. That news has brightened my evening:)

Great news about Loki. I hope he continues to go into long term remission. My 15 yr old F6 developed lymphoma a little over 3 yrs ago and because he gets too stressed at the vets, I opted for palliative care. He's still going strong and has outlived the 1-2 yr prognosis although it's obvious that the cancer is progressing, it is doing so very slowly so far. There is the potential for him to develop issues with the Prednisolone that he's been taking since his diagnosis at which point we'll have to say good-bye. But for now, aside from a few bad days here and there, he's still enjoying life.

I'm glad to hear the update about Loki! My Taj is 13 now and started my love affair with the Savannah breed. He too, has lymphoma and like Deb, I have opted for palliative care, since Taj is not able you travel in the car, without severe distress. Taj was given 2-3 weeks to live and we are going on 3 months!!!

I hope Loki libras a long time!
