My "Mean" Kitty

We had Loki neutered Thursday. We really like our vet, and our breeder takes their cats there, too. I discussed SV breed with them before we got Loki, and they assured me no issues treating SV there. When I picked Loki up yesterday the vet owner said, "y'all are really going to have to watch him. They can get REAL nasty". I said what do you mean, and he said, "Savannah's. They can be real nasty, usually are". I was shocked. We usually have the other vet see out cats. When I got Loki out of the carrier he said, "Cooool, he's awesome". Such a difference in perspective between the two vets here.
The vet tech girls all loved him, they posed with him for pictures.

I work at a vet, so I know all the people who work on Zeddie, but she was sick a few months ago and I brought her in and they took Xrays of her. The vet that worked on her, is unfortunately, my least favorite one :p She couldn't believe how loud Zeddie was and I got all the same warnings.
My coworker is a Bengal owner so she took over the Xrays for the vet, and had no problems with her at all

People at work ask me how my cat is doing all the time. When I tell them that he's doing great, and growing before my eyes, some of them tell me that he's going to eat me one of these days. I've already explained that he's just a high energy cat, not a man-eater, but I still get an occasional off the wall comment. Now, I just ignore it.

Hahah that's a good one!

I can't even count the amount of times people have said "aren't you afraid he's going to eat you in your sleep?!"

I've come to embrace it. I guess the fact that they are illegal in 6 states (I believe) and several counties doesn't help my case...

I guess it is all apart of breed promotion. I wouldn't change a thing about Zeddie. She is exactly what I need

Usually when I reply that the Serval doesn't see the human as prey so I have no fear that the domestic version of it is going to do that, they realize how stupid their question is all on their own....

Kristin, I don't know what to advise you about your kitty, I don't have ones that are super-vocal so this doesn't come up so much for me when I've taken my cats out in public.... do you think your Zeddie is enjoying these outings or is she trying to tell you she doesn't want to be there?

The only time she vocalises is when she is picked up. She just doesn't like being picked up (she wants to go where SHE wants to go :p). I usually get her to walk well with treats in my pocket...she sees my hand go in my pocket and walks like a perfect angel :p
She just gets picked up if I am heading towards something specific and she is taking too long, or when we are coming in/leaving.

If you pick her up and offer a treat at the same time, would that work? So holding a treat in front of her nose with one hand as the other picks her up...how does that go?
