Just drop Mr. Kumba off at the vet for his neuter

Hope Kumba's neuter was un-eventful. The most upsetting thing to Shango when he got neutered was missing breakfast before I took him to the vet lol! Then once he was home and ate, it was like nothing happened.

So glad he had an uneventful neuter! I think we have been over thinking everything, but it is hard not to. Hopefully he will come out of his loop-iness soon :)

I just had the blood panel come back for Loks and all is normal except ALP and Phosphorus. The ALP was at 148 which the normal is supposed to be max at 90. The doctor said this is normally a concern if it is 2-3x the normal amount.

Phosphorus was also slightly above normal at 8.8 when it is supposed to be 8.5 max. There was nothing of concern to keep from the neuter appointment tomorrow so it is on at 10am. Loki didn't fast for his blood panel so there may be some things there throwing it off a touch.

Unfortunately I do not quite know what I am looking at so I've attached for anyone who has the knack :)

Hope your cat has already had his little snip and is doing well! I felt the same way as you when our boy had to go in for his surgery. He is a Cornish Rex and we adopted him from a county shelter. He was rescued in the country, between two small towns, and we think he survived for a while on his own, but we don't really know anything about him for sure. They estimated he was about 5 years old and said he was neutered. Much to our surprise when we took him to our vet a few months later, they told us he was NOT neutered. He had a retained testicle and the other one moved in and out of the normal place, so it often looked like he was neutered. Anyway, he had to have abdominal surgery to remove the retained one and the other was removed as normal. I was freaking out while he was at the vet for two days, but he recovered nicely in about 2 to 3 weeks. He had to wear the cone of shame for two weeks, but took it like a man! We found we had to adjust it from time to time to help him get in and out of the litter box, but it wasn't too bad. So have faith that your baby boy will be fine! Picture of our conehead with his cone in sombrero mode attached!

That's a neat soft collar rather than the hard plastic especially if he had to wear it for so long. Cornish Rex are very pretty!

Loki is all done with his appointment. The vet came over two hours ago and now he is finally napping rather than falling all over the place like a drunken sailor. I definitely worked it up way too much in my head

We kinda figured you would.....;) Glad it's all done and Loki is sleeping. He will clear his head faster if he sleeps.
