My Savannah cat broke up a happy home

I got 2(male and female from same litter)Savannah kittens before I brought a 3rd into the mix. It was a male. The 2 male kittens seem to bond and get along. now the female kitten hisses and claws at both of the other cats. Crazy because the she and basically her brother would play with each other all the time. Did I introduce the 3rd cat too early or is they no way I can get all these cats to get along. All of these kittens are f4.

How long have you had the newest cat? How long was the newest cat in quarantine and how did you introduce him the 2 resident cats?

There's bound to be hierarchy issues when a new cat enters the house. It can take a bit of time for things to adjust to a new normal especially when there's a female involved, who imho tend to be divas.

Agree with Deborah. How cats are introduced is very important. Some things that you can do now is be sure to spend plenty of one-on-one time with your girl so that she knows you still love her and acknowledge her place in the hierarchy. You can also try playing with the cats side by side with a wand toy or other interactive toy (this can be tricky with three cats if there is only one of you, in which case you may have to do this with two cats at a time). You can also play with them using a laser toy, which will get them to focus on the toy rather than each other, even though they are in close proximity to each other.

If you are unable to improve the dynamics of the relationships you might need to go back to quarantining the new kitten and starting over with introductions - there are many threads on this forum discussing the right and wrong ways of doing this. You might also want to consider purchasing a book called Cat vs. Cat as it might give you some insight and additional ideas of how to bring peace back into the household.

I just got him yesterday. I brought him in the house in a cage and sat him down. Then I let the other 2 kittens come out. Male cat bonded and my female cat went crazy.

Wow! That was WAY to sudden. You definitely need to quarantine the new cat for a minimum of two weeks for both health and socialization reasons. Please read the threads on this that Patti referenced. But first put the new cat in a quarantine room with his own food, water, litter boxes and toys.

Ugh. Well, that explains it. There is an article in the first post here http://www.savannahcatchat.com/threads/introducing-a-new-cat-into-the-family.4746/ that outlines the most common and successful method for introducing cats. You definitely need to start over at step 1 and quarantine the new cat and follow the method in the article. Keep us posted on progress.

Yike! No wonder there are issues! As the others have said, it's imperative that your new cat is quarantined for a minimum of two weeks for the reasons outlined in the article Deborah posted. If you want harmony in your home, please follow these recommendations...
