Keljin's nail trims have always been easy. I have a harder time with the ferret instead of him, the ferret is a two person job! But Keljin I can handle alone. He will relax and lay belly up in my lap while i go across all his nails. He gets the idea that its grooming time and he starts licking my hands like crazy and trying to play with the clippers lol. Other than that, he at least lays still.

I alway trim his nails. It's best when he is napping and my partner holds his arms and pets him while I trim. He usually doesn't notice. If he does I give him a treat afterwards. We also have lots of places for him to scratch. 4 cardboard scratching boxes scattered throughout the house and a sisal one in the living room. I find some of the cats prefer the cardboard and the savannah prefers the sisal.

That's a good point...lots of scratching posts definitely helps...part of my catwalk is made out of sisal and they love it. Zuri eats the cardboard scratchers and spits the pieces out all over the house, so I can't have them...
