Welcome Katy! I do think your boy could be a Savannah, he looks very similar to one of my very early F3 Savannahs who had an Egyptian Mau sire (although mine is silver and yours is a blue boy). Statistically speaking, outdoor cats have shorter lives, I believe their life expectancy is about 5 years according to some studies, so I could never encourage you to allow him out. As for his chatty nature, some cats are just more vocal than others, I don't think it has to do with his current surroundings or how he was raised.

I realise i did forget to introduce you; he gos by the very exotic name of 'Bob'.

all good food for thought, though getting the owners name and any history has proved impossible. to be honest we really dont mind what he is, as he's just the most lovely boy. will do anything for treats and loooooves a cuddle, but he's a real fidget.

I'm sure more phtos will follow. the loc8tor tag arrived today, i'm very impressed with its tiny size and weight. we just need to get a collar on him now!
