Hi all - thought I would update you on my first 4 weeks of life with a Savannah. Nutmeg has settled in really well. She's extremely loving and enjoys snuggles with us after she's spent a few high speed hours running around and playing. She's a constant source of entertainment. I am beginning to understand the intelligence of these cats - I'm sure I can see her watching us and figuring out how to do things. Lol. We've had lots of 'bottle brush' tail moments and she chatters away to us all the time. I'm completely smitten with this breed, so much so that I have my second kitten reserved already! (I must be mad!)

Lol indeed I am. I've had Moggie's before but Savannahs are so different.

Nutmeg gets it when she is really excited or happy to see you - also get a raised ridge of hair down her spine. It's so cute but difficult to capture in a photo as she is usually charging round at full speed!

thanks Rascal Dad. "poofy tail" is a good description. I'm going to stop at two - just think that Nutmeg would benefit from a little sister to play with ...plus I fell in love with another kitten...will have to avoid kitten pictures in the future

Poofy tail is happy, contentment, and excitement. But is can also mean intimidation around another cat. Depends on the circumstance.

Awe thats adorable. I wouldnt image you can capture a pic, I guess grab a video then you might see it as its happening lol
