Teach them not to dart out the door?? yeah, like that will work. lmao. My girl Spontaneity will climb the coat rack behind the door then leap over the top of door to get out. Now have a modified cat trap for when she escapes. Had to modify the trap 3 time's, cause after the first trapping, she figured out how not to spring it and still eat the wet food.

Best behavior punishment is locking them in a small room for some quite time. They simply hate isolation treatment, and quickly modify their behavior to avoid it. Well, most times.

Time outs can work as a good disciplinary activity, but after about 15 minutes they forget why they're there and then it's just punishment. Better to make the time outs brief and relevant, might improve the learning curve and behavior modification ;)

He stopped having interest in the door when we got him a friend :)...but boy he eats soooooooooo much lol but he's definetly no fat he's just getting tall and long..at 7 months he weighs 6lbs 8oz. When I got him he was 3lbs 14oz i believe
