Breeding Savannahs for the Home
I'm at Ft Huachuca, and while I didn't breed while I lived on post, there was a breeder that used to live here that did and she said she wasn't allowed to have Savannahs on post and I believe she got rid of her cats. Now, I never looked further into this as I was already out and live in the county. Just something to think about.

Savannah Super Cat
We're re-enlisting in the next few months after having been out for awhile. From what I can tell the Army sees them as just normal cats but I'll check into it further. We still have a few years before we start looking at breeders. We want to get the house ready (stream lined), let our beloved rat Georgie live out his life and let our son get a little older first. If it works out better to wait until retirement than that's okay..just gives us more time to prepare.
Its not really the Army that you have to worry about so much as the state laws on where your going. For instance we are trying to avoid Hawaii. lol Its one of the possible duty stations Glenn could go to, but we took it off our "dream sheet" once we decided to get Kovu.

If you're here by the end of November you can go to the Tucson cat show - I think there will be quite a few Savannahs there!

Breeding Savannahs for the Home
Well, hope you make it down this way. If you do, there are 3 of us breeders in the area. Me, another one that lives not far from me and another one in Douglas.
