Yep, continue to handle her a lot; be very firm and consistent when correcting the stalking behavior -- if a squirt from a water bottle doesn't deter her, try something loud, like one of those horns clowns use, anything that she finds unpleasant. If she isn't spayed yet, I assume she soon will be if you're not breeding her so that may take a bit of the edge off her, or not:big grin:

I found the cat flap I have here online, http://www.moorepet.com/ , as I needed one to work with the french door we have going into the backyard (which is fully enclosed). You choose the size so I could find the one that would work best.

I think you mentioned Coco's "hunting instinct" which is I think reasonably common in kittens especially if they do not have another kitten or cat to wrestle and play with...then you are it! It's most definitely not to be encouraged, you have to remember that what you find cute now is not cute when they are five times that size... and what is tolerable to you may not be tolerable to a family member, a guest, a guest's small child etc.

thanks for the link :)

and yes i agree

play fighting will be discouraged with coco, she seems to get on with my dog rufus amazingly and never stalks him, she did once and he barked at her and that put her in her place ( for now )

every day im amazed at how special she is and how precious she is to me :) and with all the great advice from this forum im sure she will grow up to be a great savannah

thanks again :)

thanks for the advice, ill try the water bottle and also the dog deterrent mini fog horns, someone once told me a empty bottle filled with a few stones when shaken works well to deter naughty puppies and cats, however i imagine coco will just look at me like im an idiot if i try that haha:)

shes booked in to be spayed in 3 weeks so just before shes 6 months :)

thanks again :)

I think you have your answer there...if your dog barked at her for stalking and she never did it again... a loud noise seems to work. I'd yell blue murder then if she tries tackling you again and see if that works...
