Not eating

I tried softening up and warming it up. He smelled and walked away. But Trish I think you're right. He's too interested in playing and getting into EVERYTHING at this moment! He'll eat when he realizes he's hungry, right?

When our kitty got here he just wanted to hide and wouldn't eat either - it really scared me but he eventually got hungry enough to go eat something :) I am sure your kitty will eat soon!

I think you've had good replies so far, I wouldn't worry much either quite yet. As some have mentioned he might have eaten kibble and drank water while you were sleeping... now you are awake he might be more interested in your attention and play :)

My little guy has been home a full 24 hours now and he's has not ate or drank yet. Is this normal? He ate Friday night at the breeders and nothing since. Should I be worried or his still getting familiar with his new home?
Are you feeding his the same food as he was eating at the breeders? If so, he may just be getting used to things. When we purchased my daughter's British Shorthair a few years ago, he hid under the bed and did not eat, seem to drink or use the litterbox for three days!

Another potential consequence of adjusting to a new home is constipation. All 3 of mine didn't poop for 3 days even though they were eating well. When they finally did go the first time, I found kitty tootsie rolls in the litter that were longer than the kittens. LOL.
