Patti[/USER] is it that hard to get a hybrid across, even for a vacation?
I'm pretty sure the USF&W doesn't differentiate between vacation, business, or pulling up stakes and moving. If you own a hybrid you are required by law to have it inspected every time you cross the US border. Not only does that require painful paperwork, but also comes with a $186 fee and a side trip to the USF&W office for the inspection.

Geez! And here I thought it would be a simple show my papers, tell them how long and be on my way. Looks like we will be altering our vacation this year. We were going to drive through the states to get to Halifax but that is way too intensive
