Mind you- one of the big cats that was confiscated- one of the few that wasn't shot and killed- was killed at Jack Hannah's zoo when they dropped the metal door (that is used to move animals from one part of a cage to another) on his back- he had to be euthanized. (And I believe if memory serves the owner asked if another vet could examine him first and Hannah's zoo refused).

"Zoo officials state that as of next week they will no longer have the authority to keep the six animals, including a couple of leopards and a bear." So what does this mean; the owner is not permitted her personal private property returned, but the place (zoo) the animals are kept for now won't be keeping them either? Then what, they get to sell them to other zoos or exotic sanctuaries? Or will they be euthanised? Big Cat Rescue comes to mind here....is this what will happen to other "exotic" animals (servals, small primates, etc) that will be included in the ban? Ohio governor Kavish must be pretty confident the bill will pass as written now, backing this recent decision to refuse the return of personal property.....we all should be frightened at this news report! What plans will YOU have in place if a ban similar to this comes to your state? Are you ready to fight this bill and any future regulations in other states?

Until everyone comes together and realizes their rights are being stripped away one by one, I see no end in restrictions or bans. When the govt tries to take the moggie dogs and cats, then people will wake up - but it will be too late.

Leaving the country is always an option.
