Oni's big adventure!

Oni took another big step today. She's been curling up with me on the couch even if Ziggy was on the other side of me. Today she slipped between the couch back and me, with her head inches from Ziggy:

She actually gave him a couple of licks and laid her head down on his back. They both have moved around some, but have stayed in close proximity for like 2 hours.

And just moments ago, Oni gave Ziggy's neck a good washing! Missed the photo op by seconds...

It's only taken a year and a couple of months.

And now, Ziggy is grinning in his sleep, as his head is sinking to rest on her legs...with no protest at all!

Awwww, how sweet. That's darn good progress in a little over a year. Oni's heart has been won over by Mr. Zig. The universe is in balance.

FABULOUS! So great to see, very glad you managed to get that picture of Oni grooming Ziggy! Who would have thought they'd end up not just tolerating each other but actually snuggling together on a couch?

You've done an amazing job just giving plenty of time and patience and love to them all

It warms my heart to see how family eventually comes together over time. It has taken Oni a long time to learn to trust, but she has clearly crossed that barrier and is finally willing to accept the 'not so new kid' on the block!
