ONLY because it is the brightest Star on the constellation of Puppis, the dog. Actually, next to the sun, it is the brightest star in our skies.
And she is definitely a bright star...that is why I picked the name...she was the largest and loudest of all the kittens...I joke about her, but Siri is definitely a bright star - so entertaining and loving at the same time...purrs up a storm. But...she talks back and wants her way with everything..she is a bit of a dichotomy...
