Seriously. As a kitten it is cute for them to attack hands or feet. But when they get big it is NOT so cute. Really need to explain to Andrew to not bait Zuko with hands pr feet. Must be sure Zuko learns it is not a good thing to do biting a person in play.
Hmm, thinking teaching them gentle and severity of play is the best objective. Training any cat not to attack or play with parts of your body, is like trying to train them not to chase birds, or bugs or rolls of toilet paper.!!! Don't see that happening anytime soon.! Just Saying

yeah the first month or so, scars, blood and owwies are just part of the contract. And of course, trimming nails helps reduce blood loss

I think saying ouch is working. He comes back purring and nuzzling.
Ouch works, and even crying, saying ooohhh, you hurt daddy/mommy, why did you hurt me??? sniff, sniff, whimper, whimper.!!! works too. Used that with Spot, and she comes up and licks my owwies, and give me kisses, till I stopped crying.
