Prince Zuko - The Early Years

Sometimes it is territorial. Many times it is something else. Can be laziness, can be them trying to tell you something like they are not feeling well or there is something they're not happy with. Or they are too busy playing and then can't make it ALL the way to the nearest box.

I agree and it doesn't seem to be a habit. He plays and gets lazy, or he even peed in bed once but never again. I think as many litter boxes as possible is the solution.

And I repeat it isn't all the time and it isn't spraying.

If it was me I would start using the Cat Attract before he has an accident - once he starts, he starts forming a habit which may then be difficult to break, why encourage it?

It's the fact that it isn't a habit, and I think that more litter boxes may just solve my problem (now that I have the space).

I'm hesitant to start buying cat attract when I think he's doing much better. Do I then put it in all 5 litter boxes? How long do I keep making this purchase online in potential US currency when he doesn't need it.

I'm going to try checking a couple more places locally to see if it is available.

You could also just get the litter additive which should be a lot cheaper to ship anyway?

Also when I used the cat attract litter I used it for less than half of what I put in the box. Just used unscented scoopable for the rest.

On a different note, today Zuko, Andrew and I went to the Spring Pet Expo!

^Zuko was tired of saying 'Are we there yet??' (50 minutes on the road, and 10 minutes to go)

I visited a cat show for the first time, and met Christine from Savvy paws. Zuko was on her front table for a while, but we got more and more surrounded and he was obviously done for the day.

Christine and I had been talking online about her mentoring me at the Montreal TICA cat show, and had asked if Kristin and I could join her in Cobourg on the way to Montreal for a meeting with judges to represent the breed (especially the different generations) and show them that savannahs (higher generations in particular) aren't terrorizing beasts.

Unfortunately Kristin has no way out of work, but I may be able to make it out if I can find a good sized crate for Zuko and a hotel room. It would be exciting to learn more about the show ring, learn more about Savannah standard outside of books, and give Zuko the chance to represent his breed (even though he can't be shown).

I just saw online that Pet Smart carries Cat Attract, although they didn't have it when I went to grab Bentley's food.

They are always sold out of things *sighs*. Before I found Jinora's mealworms in bulk, I would have to call the day of shipment and put it on hold. It's $33 versus our favourite $8 litter, but if we're only mixing in half for the clay litter boxes (I have two boxes with pine pellets which he prefers at times) it would be more reasonable.

I'll put some on hold for this weeks shipment.

Sounds like a wonderful opportunity, I hope you will be able to make it!

Zuko has been giving the house tour to all our guests - even walking them back upstairs from the basement. Bentley is being a brat so it is obvious everyone knows it is their home now!

Last night Zuko ran everywhere and it was so loud. In the living room, through the bird room, down the hallway and up the stairs. And it continued.

Zuko is so happy to have a house now, and he deserves it!

LMAO. If you're talking about my lazy day eyes, they are actually a green hazel and change colours.

The camera always picks them up as brown though. ;)
