Hey guys, I'm just curious as to what everyone uses on their Savannah for ticks, fleas, lice, worm prevention? I recently brought in a stray, she's completely quarantined but she has/had fleas, lice, worms, and ear mites and i'm just extremely worried about spreading them to my baby. I was thinking about trying Revolution on my savannah..that's what the vet put on the stray to help kill all the parasites and I also gave her a medicated bath but I'm still just worried about spreading it. Help me! :)

I have used Revolution in the past because it treats both worms and mites. Not sure about flea and tick treatment though, I've never had a problem with either.

I give Shango Interceptor to prevent heartworm (also prevents some other types of worms) and Frontline Plus. I've never had issues with fleas/ticks, but would rather be safe than sorry since I do take him outside on walks.

Our Savannah males spend alot of time outdoors year around and our Vet recommends that we use Revolution and we have our Vet or Vet tech apply a dose at the beginning of every month from early spring to late fall here , it gives good protection for fleas and heart worm but does not work on ticks, our F2B male door darted and escaped in the jungle for 2 days last Oct, and came back with a deer tick 12 days after a dose of Revolution, I checked and Revolution lists this on their site http://www.revolution4cats.com/ and they say,In one study, more than 25% of cats diagnosed with heartworms were described by their owners as indoor-only cats, we go through 5 doses a month, 3 Savannah's and 2 rescues.
