I tried feeding baby rabbits to the cats...once...and couldn't do it anymore. I stood there cuddling their little bodies and crying like an idiot. Couldn't stop stroking those little bunny ears & feeties. If my guys want wascally wabbit, they have to eat it ground.
Awww- you were cuddling dead baby rabbits?

Yes. I dissolved into a puddle of mush. I'm tearing up now just thinking about those teensy pink noses. During my years as a wildlife rehabilitator, I raised a few orphaned bush rabbits. They were 2 inches long when I got them and I had to get up 3x per night to bottle feed them and had to take them to work with me so I could feed them throughout the day. Oh lord, they were so precious. I think maybe that's why I had such a strong emotional reaction to the feeder rabbits.

That is great work you did Deborah and much better to preserve those memories than to have them replaced by this,

By the way CC, what made you come up with the whole rabbit as food for yur babies? Got a lot of them running around out there in AZ?
I was raised on venison, rabbit and quail, growing up in Michigan. Just figured Triton would like a little variety every now and then. Have no intention of using the whole rabbit.
