We are currently using a 3 year... The boys get stressed by the vet.

Our vet is Glen Stockett, he is good with SV's and very patient and kind. He is from tinton falls, so close to you if your appt does not go well (which I hope it does).

Re: your other thread on behavior, have you thought about just ripping the carpet up? I know it might be a lot, but the hardwood is so much easier to maintain with the boys...

Yes. I think that it is an annual $5 or $15 fee or something if the cat is neutered. Just another irritating little thing to keep track of.

As Paige says, they can confiscate your cat. Some places might give you a grace period to do it, but some are rigid like she describes in NJ where they simply take the cat.

As mentioned before in another thread, calif not required, I should of been more clear about my question. In calif how can they take your kitty if it's not required?

I didn't say that, I guess what I wrote was not clear enough.

"If your location requires it, you have to do it. If you don't, you risk losing your cat" means that if your city or county requires it (a city or county can be MORE strict than the state law and that will override the state allowance) then you need to do it to keep your cat safe.

Thanks for the ref. I sent Dr Stockett an email and will contact him.

As far as the carpet is concerned, I had it stretched, trimmed and re-tucked last week and he has not gone back to the crime scene in about a week now, so I think he's done with it. In any event, we both like the carpet, and Louie is not hard on it, at all. This is the only damage he has ever done to it. He rarely, if ever vomits, and never misses his litterbox.

ALTHOUGH...................... he does occasionally sneak up on me and playfully swats my arm when I'm carrying a full mug of coffee from the kitchen to my upstairs office.
Louie is such a freakin' rascal. I can't help but laugh as I'm sopping up the coffee stains on my off-white plush pile carpet.

I haven't forgotten about your survey. Louie will be three YO on November 5th. He has filled out nicely and might be about 15 pounds now.

He looks same as last set of photos. He's solid, but by no means overweight. I'll never let that happen!
