The ultrasound showed an enlarged liver and some thickening of the intestines. They gave her vit K1, Maropitant and anzemet injections. They found that she was about 5% dehydrated and gave a small SQ fluid. They did a clot test on her and then a needle biopsy on the liver. We will hopefully have the results tomorrow. First step is to make sure that we are indeed dealing with fatty liver (that is what he suspects) and not lymphoma. I brought her back home after a long 4 hours there (doctor had to do an emergency scope on a dog that swallowed something). She reeks of alcohol and has a nice shaved belly. Everyone that dealt with her said that she was an absolute sweetheart and nothing like the other savannahs they deal with. I am really beginning to wonder who the breeder is for some of these SVs as I have now heard this several times over the last couple of weeks.

Based on recent experience I can say that xrays and ultrasounds can be wrong, so I am hoping it is nothing serious...
