"Supports a healthy appetite"
Federal regulations require wording like this for nutritional supplements. They key word is "supports". This means there is no FDA recognized clinical documentation to prove effectiveness. If it was recognized, it would then become a drug product, and then mountains of paperwork.

Hang in there.

Does any cat actually like malt flavor. I can stay for certain that Rafiki does not.

Today's plan is that we will find another place to buy more RadCat. The stuff I have had a layer of ice across the top and looks freezer burned. Hubby will try to pick it up during lunch so that we can thaw it out for their dinner tonight. If they snub that, we will head down south to pick up some homemade ground raw from my breeder and continue further to my sis-in-law's to trade some new formula Darwin for her old formula.

This leads me to think more and more that I need to grind my own. I dont think that I can survive another formula change. If I opt to grind without the bones, what is the best substitute? I have seen bone meal, ground egg shells and human grade calcium.

I just started using ground egg shells, but you can use Mazuri for Slab Meat - has everything you need and you do not need to then figure out what to do.

You mentioned earlier that you are considering making your own raw... Mike should be able to give you his recipe, but if you have Mazuri for slab try just dipping a corner of the cooked or freeze dried chicken into it to see if she will eat it with the vitamins. I'm pretty sure the Mazuri has taurine in it, so for the moment at least you don't have to worry about adding extra taurine.

I swear, these cats will be the death of us from stress alone!!!
She did eat the kitty crack dipped in Mazuri. Gave it a good snort but ate it. This morning's meal was probably the equivalent of 2 oz of kitty crack (if it had had moisture) dipped in Mazuri and about 1.5 oz of cooked minced. And yes, she headed for the water bowl soon after eating.

Can't remember, have you tried grinding the kitty crack into a powder and sprinkling it on top of her food?
You don't have to add organs to homemade raw as long as you add in the Mazuri for slab meat. But, it would be more beneficial in the long run to have the organs in the grind.

I always grind up kitty crack and sprinkle it on top of the morning meal. When I first changed to the new formula, she would eat the kitty crack plus whatever food had stuck to it. As the week progressed however, she started snubbing the thing as a whole. She woudl happily devour all the kitty crack that was not "contaminated".

Weird thing.....she will eat any and all kitty crack so I dont think that her sense of smell is compromised. When I approached her this morning with the minced cooked chicken and kitty crack, her nose was twitching like crazy and she immediately came off the hammock and approached me. I gave her several pieces of kitty crack and then she ate the minced cooked. It is the smell of all the raw foods lately that seem to repulse her.

Or she is just playing you because she prefers the kitty crack. Taji did this me when he was addicted to quail. It was the only thing he would eat until he became allergic to it. It was hell getting him to try another food. He is a one food cat so I empathize with your situation. It is when he gets tired of the one food that the problems begin. When he starts losing interest, I cut up freeze-dried chicken or duck hearts and sprinkle it on the food. So far it's working but I know it won't last for long.
