Rafiki not eating

Kitty crack is freeze dried chicken. You can get it at any pet store. Halo Liv a Little and Pure Bites are two that are readily available. I buy Whole Life in the 10 oz package from Amazon. Expensive but a life saver or at least sanity saver. I do make sure that it is made in USA.

Have not spoken to the vet yet but he emailed to say that "Rafiki's liver values are elevated and this could be contributing to her lack of appetite. I would like to add on another liver function specific test with your permission that can provide us with more information as to why this may be happening."

Do the test. And ask how elevated above normal the values are. My boys all have slightly elevated liver values that my vet said is likely caused by their raw diet (higher protein). There is literature to support that higher values occur with a raw diet but in wild cats, if I remember correctly, but no studies done on domestics to figure out if elevated values are actually normal due to diet.

I am also thinking that Rafiki lost over a 1/2 lb of weight in 10 days due to not eating. Doesn't that also lead to elevated liver values?

Being undernourished can certainly cause elevated values and her values show something is awry with her liver. Until your vet does further testing, it's hard to know if liver issues caused the drop in appetite or vice versa.
