All is quiet in froggie-world. We had a cold front move in and apparently it is squashing froggie desire. The storm arrived Monday morning at 4:30 complete with heavy rain, thunder and lightning. The cats were horrified.

Although, we did not get a thunderstorm, the weather here as been record breaking warm for Northern Ontario. We have a steel roof and during the night, the snow came flying down and the boys flew up in the air, shaking their heads wondering what the heck was that! I didn't see who it was, but one of the frying pan went flying off the stove and scared them even more. So needless to say, last night was just a bad night all together. Thank goodness the roof is now snow free!

I am now watching Rafiki lose her little mind. A lizard is walking across the roof of the catio. He is beyond both the mesh and the shade cloth - visible but not accessible. Poor baby girl!

I ordered the OneFastCat Wheel on Feb 29th. We cannot afford the Go!Cat!Wheel! from our sponsor at this time. The OneFastCat one was only $215 delivered. It arrived on March 2nd. I was able to put it together by myself in about an hour. I did not have the patience to wait for the hubby to come home! It does wobble a bit but not too bad.

I tried motivating the monsters with toys - DaBird and laser light. No dice. So I broke out the kitty crack. It took no time at all to get Rafiki to place all paws on the wheel and take a few steps. Jammu on the other hand is completely opposed to stepping on this wiggly thing. I can place him on the wheel and he will stay long enough to grab the treat but that is about the full extent of the progress to date.

This afternoon, Rafiki was being a royal pain in the butt when I was on a call - howling at me, knocking everything to the floor, biting the furniture - basically SV PITA (pain in the a$$) behavior. When the call ended (not nearly soon enough for her), I decided to work on the wheel with her again. I grabbed the can of kitty crack and she made a beeline for the wheel. I got her to run after treats for a good 15-20 minutes. Then, much to my surprise, she started walking on it for the sheer heck of it. I am hopeful that we will soon be able to burn up some energy. Jammu on the other hand, is content vacuuming up the kitty crack morsels that got away. Of course having Rafiki hog the wheel (and the treats) was not so helpful.

That was the way Kilifi was. a step or 2. then walk now she is galloping on her own. No treats. If I go in and snap my fingers half way up the wheel she will get on and run while looking at my hand. Regie has only been on it once. now he just looks...
