Random questions about my F2

I have one cat who will chatter at me if we go in a different direction on walks than he wishes to go. And he always stops to do a blood curdling howl halfway through a walk.

As far as treats, those that Rafiki mentioned are hands-down favorites. My cats are addicted to the freeze dried chicken and ducks hearts. I have 4 savannahs. Three like treats and one won't eat anything other than his regular food. I have yet to find a treat to tempt him.

Oops, forgot to mention that if your boy is not yet neutered and his hormones are beginning to kick in, that might explain the vocalizations while walking.

Hey guys, thanks for all of the responses, I'm getting him some of those treats now.

He isn't fixed yet and I was just thinking about getting it done - I did notice what looks to be spraying so I'm guessing it's that time to get it done. It would be really great if it did in fact cause him to chime down as I can see that he is incredibly fascinated with the outdoors.

As far as his age, his birth date on his papers is listed as 7/12/15 so he's about 4 months exactly right now. His mother has a starting 3 characters of CON and his Dad has A1S. Does anyone know what this means?

Hey guys,

Just following up with this. So Tom's been getting better as far as responding to his name and general behavior but the yelling is incredibly excessive. I got up at 4am and have not been back to sleep as he does the same yelling/chatter all night and I'm afraid that my neighbors are hearing this and being woken up. He's fed well, in good health, plays with my Bengal and needs nothing. He will do it at complete random but it goes on for 1hr+ nonstop and it is LOUD.

What can I do? Sadly this is becoming a big issue, I know Savannahs are generally chatty but I wholeheartedly believe nobody has heard what I'm hearing now, it's nuts. He's getting spayed Tuesday, I really hope this has some effect on this noise. I'll generally wake up at 4/5am because I notice he's at an open window doing this and pissing off people for sure. I can't even take phone calls at home because he does this and am contemplating looping the breeder back in regarding this.

Good morning. Just a few questions for you. Do you physically play with him? How old is he? I know for me, I physically get on floor and play with them for at least an hour daily. I have 1 - F1 and 2 - F3s. I usually can tell when they need attention, their behaviour becomes a little nutty, that is my cue to play and change their mind about what they are getting into. He is definitely trying to tell you something for sure. He sounds like he may be lonely for your attention. Although, he plays with your Bangle, that is not the same as playing with you. I have a wheel (One fast cat) for them. That also help. My boys take turns and spend on an average of 15 to 45 minutes daily on it. For me, basically, I found that I have to wear them out and at the same time appreciate and enjoy every moment with them. I also use a shuut sound to train my boys, instead of screaming at them or a whistle. This way it gets their attention, but you do have to be firm and loud enough for them to know you mean business and that you are in charge. It works great for me, but not for my hubby, because he is not commending when he does it, so they ignore in. Lol. I am so sorry to hear that you are struggling with your baby, but don't give up. It was not long ago I wanted to quit the toilet training I was doing, getting discourage, but I persisted and now all 3 boys are fully toilet train and are flushing.

I'm sure the neutering will help his behavior. But it could take a few weeks for the hormones to get out of his system.

If you haven't already done so, get him neutered. It may take a month or longer for the hormones to dissipate. If his behavior doesn't change after his neuter, ask your vet about possible neurological issues, hearing or sight issues.
