Rate of Growth

I am a little bit concerned about my F3 boy growth rate. Especially after seeing twice bigger F5-F6 at the same age

We got kitten at age of 16 weeks with weight 3.5lbs, then he was gaining 0.20lbs per week.

Now he is 6.5months - 6.6 lbs. Weight gain per week is insignificant.

I cannot see his ribs, but i can feel them, his legs got little bit longer, he is very active... he was castrated few weeks ago. He do not eat a lot, he barely can finish one pouch of wet food (eats only 3 of them per day + few kitten 'candies'). Vet said kitten is very healthy.

Do you think it is normal weight for F3? Maybe I am worrying too much?

Each kitty grows differently and they don't all get big. My F4 male is 8 lbs and my female is 9 lbs. I wouldn't be concerned as long as he's eating well and eliminating well

What Kristin said. I have a 3 yr old F3 female who is about 8 lbs and a 2 yr old F5 female who is 10 lbs. My F2 1 yr old F2 male is 12 lbs. Different weights for the individual cats.

I think the weight on your F3 boy is just fine. As long as he is eating, playing, and pooping normally I would not worry about his weight, which is a terrible way to measure a Savannah's size anyway. Savannahs are the basketball players of the cat world - they should be measured by stature, not by weight.

Wouldn't worry at all about the size. have two 5 year old F3's, the girl weighs 9 lbs, and the boy weighs 20 lbs, have two 8 month old F2's, the boy weighs in at 15 lbs, and his sis is 13 lbs. both still growing like weeds.

You have a fine looking boy there, and regardless of final size, am sure he'll bring you many years of love and entertainment.

I'm having trouble creating a forum but I had a couple questions about my F4 savannah. He cries all night and all day, everyday no matter what. He only stops when he's on my lap getting loved on but otherwise he's whining and meowing like no other. He hasn't been fixed yet and he has a condition with his testicles, of of them will never drop and it could cause cancer, I wasn't sure if that had anything to do with it. He also doesn't have any other cats to play with and was thinking maybe he was just lonely? Not sure what to do about this or how to get him to stop, but any advice would be greatly apprecaited!

Definitely get your boy neutered. Having impacted balls will cost more, but getting him altered will curb many unwanted tendencies, and eliminate that being a problem.

Sounds like your boy is demanding more attention. Would give him as much love as possible. Does he sleep with you??? All my fur kids have their own unique demands and quirks. Sometimes I have to go and find each and every one, just to let them know I love them, before they will come to bed.
