Hello!
I read your recipes. Tell me please whether or not need to grind the chicken or turkey? For example I just cut a little chickens by pruner and give its my savannahs ( F2, F5, F3) and also I cut stomachs, hearts, livers...(sorry for my bad English, I use translator)

I think with kitchenaid grinders it depends on which line you have. I was told that the attachment is best used with the Pro line due to the strength of the motor/engine? in the blender. I have the Artisan kind so I'm a little wary of breaking or burning out my kitchenaid with using heavy duty things like grinding bones.

Hi Paige,

I made a batch of ground chicken breast, chicken hearts, liver, and necks...and ground it up ...He loves it....how much do you feed them? and is 3 times a day with raw ok? Also, what else should I include in his food...ie Taurine, egg yoke, etc..? and how long does it last in freezer, and in fridge,...thanks, Robert

You can make enough food for a month and freeze it in meal-sized portions. Thaw enough for 3-4 days worth of meals. How many egg yolks & how much taurine you add depends on the amount of food you make. Here's a resource for recipes that make a lot of food. You can do the math to extrapolate how much to use for smaller amounts. http://www.holisticat.com/ground.html

Robert, Deborah is our resident raw food expert and I always defer to her ;)

I use a great supplement that someone I know hand makes and sells...it includes taurine, salmon oil, dulse, seacure and a few other things. Then I add egg yolks, olive oil, water...seacure is a protein that is known to aid in digestion and any type of GI issues, so I actually bought seacure and Taj, who had IBD no longer has to take meds...
