Something has changed, at least in the cat's perception. Maybe he feels safer being up higher. If you have something other than carpeting on the floor, have you changed what you use to clean it? If carpeted, have you had it cleaned or sprayed with something around the time he decided to stay aloft? Maybe he was scared by something on the floor (vacuum, mop?) and decided to leave that space to the monster. Maybe it's just a phase.
Yeah. What's up with this? Fresh water. Right from the faucet. Is this a common, uhhh, issue?
Two of mine have this trait. I think I got jipped by their breeders -- I don't think they're pure savannah -- I think they've got water spaniel genes.
Me either! Maybe we need to invest in it?! I can just see it now. I can see them asking me what medical conditions I have & I'll just say "A Savannah Cat".
