Right. That's what I'm expecting. A similar behaviour to our Bengal.
This damn smart cat. Unbelievable.

I hated him one night when he figured out how to turn on the Xbox, which automatically turns on the TV and receiver. It was 3am. I was already in bed and my wife followed some time later.
Suddenly I heard the TV and asked her if she forgot to switch it off. She denied. So I went to the living-room and saw a super excited Bengal sitting in front of the Xbox, staring at me like the happiest cat in the world, that at this late hour his human friend is still awake to play with him.
I switched off the box, tv and receiver, went back to bed, 10min later I heard the "Turn on" sound of the TV again. Well, cat decided that he didn't get enough attention so he switched the Xbox on again. That was going on for a while. But at least he always waited until I was back in bed. :p Little bastard.

It's not so much terror as antics. You have a Bengal. There are many similarities of quirky behavior to savannahs. You seem to understand, it's cute , funny, and annoying. You can handle a savannah. And they seem to mature in about 5 years to a tolerable level.

I love the mischievousness of this breed so I hope they don't quiet down too much! I would have to buy another. :3

Good luck TaiShu!! I hope you find your kitten, regardless of the generation he/she will be a beautiful stinker. I knows it.

I thought finding my prince would make it easier, but the wait is all the more exciting. I may just spend every penny I own in anticipation for my Zuko. Glad you have your Bengal to keep you occupied in the meantime. :) I wish there was a picture of him committing the crime, but I get that you were tired, and ain't nobody got time for that. Anyway that story was hilarious. Keep them coming!

Emily, I can post a picture of another crime he commited.

Situation:
We put a closed package of cookies (with chocolate and jelly) on the dining table. An area that he usually doesn't enter. We went out to visit the family. When we came back, we figured out that he figured out how to open the package and select the good part of the cookie. As you can see in his eyes, he had no idea that this was actually not allowed and he felt completely innocent.
Luckily he noticed that chocolate is not good for him and focused on the rest of the cookie.
Lessons learned: Never leave anything on the table.

A similar thing happened with a pacifier of our son.
We left it on the couch for just a second to get some talking done with our son.
The next second "Mr. Clooney" (we named him like this because he usually acts like a gentleman) was walking around with a pacifier in his mouth. Luckily it was the one our son didn't like anyway, so we left it with him. Over time he learned how to keep it in his mouth and walked around with it for minutes, like a baby. Extremely cute. I was able to capture just a quick moment of it.

LOL. He has quite the personality. That soother clip was adorable! I can see he thinks he did nothing wrong. ;)

And now this has me thinking.. My main litter box is currently in the non food side of my large walk-in pantry.. But it has full access to the food. I need to rethink this. My current girl would not touch an open bag of her food if it is not in her bowl.

How did you teach her that? The only chance to get my cat away from anything that's potentially food would be one of these electric necklace for dogs. And I'm not even sure if that would stop him from trying to get it.

With Kairi I didn't really have to do much. She is a very loyal cat who likes to follow a routine. I literally left an open container on the table for 2 days (because I usually eat dinner with tv - shame on me), and it was left untouched. Bentley (my dog) took a little more training, but it was more just being consistent and aware when we were home since he is in his crate while we are gone. Princess.jpg Bentley.jpg

Ha! Both my savannahs are food psychos. Zeddie grew out of it, and stopped stealing bread and everything off the counter. Jimmy is still young, but we have to be very careful about what is on the counter. If he can reach it, its fair game (in his mind)
