Hi my name is Melissa. In two weeks we will become the proud owners of a F2 boy. We couldn't be more excited. In preparation we have re-modeled a 10'X10 atrium in the middle of our home into a play yard. We have installed shelves at varying heights and are having a custom tree made out of real tree branches. I installed a dog door so that the gang can come and go as they please. It has been tested by my 8 year old Siamese mix and my 9 month old Yorkie. They seem to think its pretty cool. I am wondering if anyone knows where to get a good cat wheel. I figure that would be a good way to burn off some energy. I found one place but it looks like they went out of business. I would include pictures but I haven't figured that out yet.

Hi Melissa and welcome! It sounds like you have created the perfect playground for your new Savannah! I would love to see pics if you have any. I'm guessing that the atrium is covered? You can get a cat wheel from The Cat Wheel Company. Go to http://www.catwheelcompany.com/home.cfm and you will see Zuri (owned by Paige, our forum administrator) featured in a video on their website.

Thanks Patti. I'll check that link out for the wheel. The top of the atrium is covered with shade cloth and stainless steel mesh and reinforced with wood around the edges and at the seams. I'm not taking any chances. Simon the big fat Siamese has only made it to the forth step. Roxanne, my Yorkie has already made it to the third. I'm curious to see how things will pan out when that kitten arrives. He'll probably shoot straight to the top. I would love to attach some pictures, but I haven't figured out how to do it yet.
