Savannah quirks- menthol and eucalyptus

So I've been treating myself to extra fantastic baths. You know the kind with a bottle.. I mean glass of wine. A book. Some candles. And bubbles. I think it's due to that wonderful time of year where it's rainy and cold and damp. And I feel like My back has aged 40 years.. Anyways I've noticed the kitties seem to go nuts after I get out. The bath I use is eucalyptus menthol and spearmint Epsom salt. And I use a menthol wintergreen bubble bath/body wash. Along with tea tree shampoo ( dry skin). I walk out and they immediately start rubbing themselves all over me frantically. They don't do this when I use the fruity bath stuff. Also I've noticed when I have a cough drop (ricola specifically ) Loki will go nuts and pounce on me and keep trying to play. But rubbing himself on my face frantically. Does this stuff smell like catnip to them or something? Anyone else witness this before? Loki has been grooming me for the last 10 minutes and trying to chew on my hair and legs now.. While I write you this..

Spearmint is a cousin to catnip. Methinks some catnip might have been in the mix. How do your cats respond to catnip?

I don't 'know' but I'm sure it is the scent from your bubble bath that is causing their behavior. I have a particular hair conditioner that has a minty aroma and my cats love it.

I swear they smell anything minty and they get excited. That would really make sense if it's related. But tea tree shampoo? I know tea tree oil could hurt them I have no idea they he seems to like it. Unless that was a subconscious thing because of that little occurance with fleas. My bf has been using this shampoo for months and nothing but in the past 2 weeks they seem to love it. Any other scents you've noticed they can't stand/ love? And I guess since I'm on the topic...,anyone else have little furry underwear theives? Loki steals mine and hides them. Just a little creepy lol
