i use Puppy pads as a cage liner and then wash everything down with a mix of soapy water and eucalyptus oil every weekend and it does wonders!

Everything has an odor, but there's not much worse than smelly pee from an intact male cat! Sugar gliders do tend to be messy - I remember moving their cage away from the wall and having to clean all sorts of debris stuck on the wall from them scattering food and everything else all over the place, but the cleaning aspect was well worth it - they were remarkable critters! I would have more now if I didn't have all the cats.

We have 2 suggies as well as the 2 SVs, dsh, 3 dogs, snapping turtle, ball python, 5 goats, and numerous chickens.
The suggies are definitely mess makers. Someone gave me the idea to put a shower curtain behind their cage to keep the mess off the wall. Has been working great! Except for the bottom 2 feet that it doesn't reach the floor ha!

Y'all! I have a niece that just turned 2 this past saturday and my brother always says shes exactly like me when it comes to animals...she HAS to touch or have it lol. Well she already has a little stuffed cat that sorta looks like my Ares that she just loves and always wants to watch videos of Ares while she plays with her cat. She also just LOVES my sugar gliders. She calls them "Carrie's babies" so as a birthday present I found a stuffed animal sugar glider on ebay and gave it to her and the results were just too precious! She held "Livie's baby" for hours and would not put it down! She even tried to put it in her shirt because shes seen mine hide there LOL.
