Savannahs like water?!?!

I have a handful of Savannahs and bengals, none of mine even attempted getting in the tub for toys. We tried goldfish even, then moved them to a smaller but large dish. None of them really felt the need to go after them, they only were intrigued by them. I'd say they are more inclined then most breeds to like water but definitely not all of them will go on to diving in. ( like my first impression after learning of the breed ) :)

One of my boys slipped into a deep fryer (cooled oil) after he pried the lid off. He went in almost to his waist on just his hind legs in the middle of the night. Grease on both hind legs and halfway up his tail. Even after his one and only bath, he still smelled like shrimp egg rolls for a day or two. He had licked some off, so we took him to the vet and she just laughed.
that is so funny, one of mine ended up in the cabinet I keep my deep fryer in, with my fiance's kids being up and helping me clean up the lid wound up off of it and and my blue girl ended up in the peanut oil. We cleaned her up and all but she smelled awful for a few days. So funny you mentioned that

Ah such funny quirky stories; such intuitive cats! I can't wait until my little guy gets big enough to explore more. I suppose I should take that back before I regret that statement. :-/

Karma, my F2 Snow Queen, absolutely LOVES jumping into the small pool we put in their enclosure and catching the fish that are in there. King, my F5 Stud HATES water and, the other day, he got himself wrapped up in some fly paper and was SUPER frikin' sticky and needed a bath... Well, we got him clean, but we both walked away totally soaked and bleeding...

This is Karma and the kitten is Mr. Fattius Mcgoo. He's an F3.

Our Savannahs seem to dislike water. The girl is curious enough to get near running faucets but the boy freaks out if he gets too much of it on him or near too much of it... We have not had a successful bath yet.

Mine love the water from fountains but do not like baths or to jump in the water.

the kittens love drinking out of the water fountain.

Toilet flushing is a community event in my house. I need to leave a camera in the bathroom to get a video lol The boys always jump in the tub after I shower, I can see a dip coming any day.
