They are a leanly muscled build... you will find that the Bengal is all muscle also but a stockier muscled build. But definitely the British Shorthair is rounder and probably much higher body fat ;-)

I have an ft male and he acts nothing like a normal cat. He walks on a leash, makes crazy sounds and every time I'm in the kitchen he follows me and jumps on the table or Counter to headbutt me. You just build a lifelong bond with them. The lower generations are great.

I tink it just depends as far as SBT savannahs go.my Taj is an F6 SBT and 16 pounds...a big boy...they are taller and leaner, which gives the perception of being "large" sometimes, while weight is often misleading.

I think if you take some time to read the posts on here you will find SV of all generations are truly special. Also, take a look at the picture threads. You will see just how gorgeous they are, and we have some drop dead gorgeous kitties here, believe me! But these kitties aren't just flashy looks, they are personality plus! I don't think you will find a post that says "wow, my SV is boring me to tears!"

We have 2 F6s, litter mates. They are about as far from fragile as you can get. And thats not always a welcome thing. Its a be careful what you wish for kinda of thing. They are smart, loyal, demanding, and full of energy. They LOVE us. And if they want love it doesn't matter if you are sleeping or anything else. We have no children, we have child locks on cabinets all over the house. Trust me, you won't be short changed by the breed. Just make sure YOU'RE up for it and find a good breeder.
