Yeah, I recognized the SE pictures right away (click on the "elite Savannah" on the left side). I sent Holly a note and the link. Pretty sure this isn't the first time this has happened. (May the fleas of ten thousand camels infest the body orfices of these scammers.)

That site will be gone in a day or two...

I am curious why more breeders don't chose to watermark their photos since this seems to happen way too much? Of course if I remember right there may be a program out there that removes them. So maybe a wasted option. But I do notice some websites that somehow make it so you can't do the save image as... option. But knowing technology these days there is probably a way around anything. :(

I actually use Digimarc to digitally watermark, but forgot to do some of these photos...and then my membership ran out and I forgot to renew it...I know breeders do watermark, but many still do not...it is a PITA when you have many kittens and pictures to post, but worth it in the end...

I think my issue is that my website already has hundreds of pictures on it and so to take them and watermark then reupload them into all the pages... it's on my list to do but not the urgent one.

So saying that, I've seen scam websites and ads use those watermarked pics too! Maybe they think people don't look at it and wonder what the watermark means...maybe they think people will assume it is a photographer's mark...I don't know. But I remember seeing one way back and the pics of the kittens said "Avalon Savannahs" and I was shocked that they still used the pictures in their scam!

Savannah cat's are still a rare breed, I took some pictures of our 2 polka doted panther chair warmers and took the chip from the camera to CVS, the woman at the counter came over to see if I need help and saw the pictures and asked, are these legal ? This breed of cat will be pirated for years . IF bad breeding takes over it will be bad for our cats.
