Well, I'm confused.

I wore a pair of strappy sandals this last weekend and left them on the living room floor. Lox is terrified of them! He will crouch down and crawl towards them and then take off sprinting.

I held him and made him touch them with his paws and he was not pleased to say the least. He is absolutely terrified of these sandals!

Anyone have something like this happen? So random.

One of my F1s can be like that with anything out of the ordinary. But after she's given it an almighty slap to "kill" it, generally she's all curiosity...

LOL, not sure what is so scary about your sandals - maybe the color or the material. At any rate, I wouldn't force the issue - hopefully Lox isn't running away from you when you are wearing them!

It's called Fickle Feline Syndrome and it can strike any cat at any time. There is no known cure for the cat although humans have shown improved coping behavior through the use of psychiatric counseling and self-medicating.

Today Atticus almost lost his spots over a bathroom scale that has been in the bathroom since he came home. He shared the bathroom with it during his quarantine. He has sat and stepped on the scale hundreds of times during the past 3 years yet today, it became an unknown potentially life-threatening entity

You got to wonder what the heck is going through their heads, lol!

He never overcame his fear, apparently he either does not like the gold color or he was unhappy there was not an end to the strap he could chew.

Life is better now, the sandals are locked back in the closet and the living room is a safe zone again.

That's crazy about being things there forever and then it seems like it's an alien. Silly kitties.
